Regular health assessments for children with Down syndrome (DS)  from 3 months - 20 years of age. Apart from intellectual and developmental delays, people with DS are at an increased risk for certain health conditions. Awareness of some of these common health problems in these individuals and continuous monitoring of these challenges will help reduce their adverse affects on the person’s health. DS cannot be cured, but careful management of health challenges can have a positive impact on the overall development of the individual. Please use this checklist to keep a detailed account of doctor consultations and medical tests performed.
